Interesting choices. I wasn’t sure what film you had selected Allison Janney for (different title here) and I at first thought it was Life During Wartime – have you seen that? And what did you think of Maggie Gyllenhaal in Away We Go? I thought she was terrific. Great call on Klaubner and Hammer.
It’s actually Away We Go and I love Maggie on it as well, but this top 5 has been locked up for a couple months and I had no room for anyone else. Not even Academy Award winning Mo’Nique, which I’m sure people will complain about haha.
Not me. I thought Precious was overrated. There are always one or two movies each year that get tons of awards attention and just don’t do it for me. This year they are Black Swan and True Grit.
Mine is probably Inception, but I haven’t seen a lot of them. Brazilian release dates are awful, most of the Oscar hopefuls will only hit cinemas in February/March.
Well, at least you’ll have good movies in February and March. We usually don’t have anything good here then, except a few foreign films (spillover from the year before also). I personally loved Inception, but I wouldn’t dare try to ask you why you didn’t like it since I’ve gotten very annoyed with people confronting me about why I didn’t like Black Swan.
Escolhas MUITO acertadas. Só sinto pena porque ainda não conferi The Special Relationship um filme que tenho certeza irei adorar.
Não vi nenhum telefilme e não sei os consideraria para minha premiação pessoal, então só me resta dizer que senti falta da Mo’Nique, que você já adiantou aí que alguém ia falar, muito bem, fui eu, e acho que a Patricia Clarkson apareceu muito pouco para uma menção, apesar de ter achado ela excepcional pelo tempo que apareceu. Não vi Nine, e até gosto da Olivia williams em Ghost Writer, mas acabei deixando ela de fora devido à concorrência. Dos rapazes, se por um lado eu ache um exagero a indicação do Armie Hammer, interpretou dois personagens muito bem, mas não é pra tanto, fico muito feliz que lembrou o Mark Ruffallo, que só adiciona nesse elenco ótimo de Minhas Mães e Meu Pai.
Alexsandro, Mo’Nique estava muito ‘all over the place’ pra mim, como ‘Preciosa’ em geral. E eu não me incomodo com o screentime não, Clarkson está maravilhosa naquela cena, a melhor dos muitos bons cameos de Ilha do Medo. Sobre o Hammer, acho ele subestimadíssimo e que bom que você gosta do Ruffalo também, fundamental pro sucesso de Minhas Mães e Meu Pai.
